Incidents of Life
MOLLY ODEGARD NIKOLIC, born in Madison, Wisconsin, is a national professional fraternity Phi Beta member. She has a bachelor of history degree from Edgewood College in Madison. She was first published after winning first place in a worldwide essay contest to preserve the Serbian language, receiving the prize in Zurich. She is a gourmet cook and has worked as an extra in a number of films shot in the area. Four events have shaped her life: surviving encephalitis, divorce of her parents, death of her mother, and her marriage. She lives with her husband and two cats.
Lack of money forces an actress’ strong ambitions to find fame and fortune through acting in films to kick in when her in-laws won’t help her financially for her child, while her husband is off in WWI dealing with the terrible struggles of the time. This causes her to give her child, temporally she thinks, to a friend for safekeeping, but the friend can’t keep her and she is soon adopted by her wealthy employers. This changes the lives of many people. Eventually, forgiveness and love come into play letting the wings of destiny spread allowing love and forgiveness to rule.
The course of the narrative of Yesterday Dawns Today spans a number of years; the focal point begins in Madison, Wisconsin in the mid-1950's A relationship between Jenny Singleton and Regs Snow, a married man, begins when she is involved in an accident with him and his wife, Sarah. She is, at that point, welcomed into the life of Margy Drake, a woman who has a similar sense of hope for an older man named Sean Kilkelly who becomes part of their family when they marry. Fate, helped by Margy, finally brings Regs back into Jenny's life so that she can confront him about the pain he has caused her by leaving, despite his ignorance to the fact that she was pregnant.
